Always witty, illuminating and lively, Irving chernev explores the chrystalline beaty of chess at its best, analyzing 200 unique endgames of players from Afansiev to Yakimchik.The studies are well picked, funny and entertaining, usually difficult to solve, but not impossible as they are in other books about endgame studies.The best of Irving chernevs book are timeless and continue to sell well years after his death.
