An inspiration

At age 91 I was looking for Bible verses to memorize in the event my eyesight should dim. While searchig for other books "199 Promises of God" popped up and on sale for 99 cents. The title got my attention and the price cinched it. After reading it over several times I decided those were the verses I wanted to keep in my memory bank. I have reached 23 and expect to keep on. Others have been inspiried and I have since purchased 20 more copies with only 4 remaining. God's Promises are indeed true and comforting.

Great for those days when you need a little nudge

This is a great little book to keep handy for those days when you feel a little down and need some inspiration from God's word. I read through about 4-5 of the verses and am reminded of the unconditional love only a father above could provide. However, the verses are in King James Version which I don't particularly care for since I use the New KJV and Message translations for my own personal bible studies because they are easier to read. I wish this book came in NIV or something similiar, but still a great book!
